"THE ONLY DISABILITY IN LIFE IS A NEGATIVE ATTITUDE"!   by Tupac Shakur       When we feel that it makes no difference what anyone says, whether negative or positive... and it really doesn't matter what advice people give us.  It doesn't take away that pain. I do find...

I love quotes too.  They are simple and direct and sometimes they get you through the day.  I like to write them on post it notes when I find one I really like.

Keep sharing...this is a really good idea you have here.

Thank you for commenting on my quote.  Even through the darkest times that we all go through at times, I find that just a few simple words that have a positive message can lift our spirits even for a moment.

Some of the best quotes I come across, that really inspire me, are written by people who really had the odds stacked against them. When I read an inspirational quote written by them, even if they had a bad reputation, I feel despite the day to day issues they had to deal with, they had true depth to be able to find such meaningful words to share with the world.

I too write on post it notes & stick them in the most odd places so that if things are not going well for me that day, I may have forgotten where I stuck a post it but then whenI open a drawer or cupboard where I keep my dishes, I get a cool surprise reading just those few words & it lifts my spirits.

I wrote myself a letter back in the year 2000.  The envelope reads "A Letter To My Future". I can open it on January 1st, 2012 and then I can see what goals I have accomplished that I set for myself 12 years prior.  I often look at the envelope but have not been tempted to open it.  I know a lot of things have happened since I wrote the letter, such as my divorce which I did not anticipate in 2000, but it will be interesting to see how far I have come.

I also wrote a letter to my unborn child when I was 6 months pregnant.  That was absolutely wonderful.  I gave him the letter when he was 10yrs old.  I knew then that he would be mature enough to understand how I felt when he was growing inside of me & how much we were looking forward to having him in our lives.  When I gave the letter to Liam, he just sat on his bed and cried.  He said he never really understood just how much we loved him.  He told me he kind of took it for granted that parents just naturally love their kids but when I had put pen to paper & poured my heart out, he was overwhelmed with emotions.  His tears were tears of happiness.

I have never even considered taking my own life.  Liam means the world to me & there is absolutely no question that I would rob myself or him.  I have no plans & don't intend to make any plans to leave the planet, because one day, I won't have a choice & none of us are getting out of this world alive.

I know I have so much to live for but even if I didn't, my son gives me every reason possible to want to stick around.

    Thank you again,

    Much love,

    Leanne
