my struggle

By panic mode1979 Monday, February 02, 2009

I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for most of my adult life.I recently went to my doctor and he prescribed Zoloft. After about three months of using this medication I decided I did not like the way it made me feel. This medication did not seem to help my depression or anxiety so I stopped taking it.I am scared of taking medications, but I want to feel good!I would like some suggestions on what I should do.

Panic, I hear you. I've tried many different prescription drugs for depression and really don't think anyone but a doctor can decide what to suggest you try next.

I read an article here recently about a non-prescription substance and I may try that, though I've never heard of it before reading that.

One mistake I made was not using something long enough, like you did, to see if it helped. There are more choices, if you can afford to, why not ask if doctor would keep working with you. I've heard miracles happen, why not one for you?
