I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for most of my adult life.I recently went to my doctor and he prescribed Zoloft. After about three months of using this medication I decided I did not like the way it made me feel. This medication did not seem to help my depression or anxiety so I stopped taking it.I am scared of taking medications, but I want to feel good!I would like some suggestions on what I should do.

There are so many more meds that your doctor can try.  I think it's worth a shot at talking about it.  You shouldn't stay on a med. that is not helping, but there are other meds and combonations.  I know, I have been on almost every med there is, but I still keep trying, and I think this time I may have found the right combonation.  A good doctor will listen to you and work with you.  Don't give up - you deserve to feel better, and it is possible.  Are you in therapy?    Hang in there - there is a lot more available to you.  Good luck,

Mara
