I've set a goal for myself and it seems that if I actually write it down and others can read it, maybe I'll try harder.
My 40th b-day is coming up 2.27 and I was thinking that I want to go into my 40s feeling better about my health and weight. I had forgot about this goal lately and what slapped it back in place is that I made the dumb mistake of weighing myself in class yesterday. I knew that I gained weight but though that if I knew exactly how much, I may have pushed myself back in the depressed state, so I have avoided it. I have gained 16 pounds and know that it is from the meds. My eating habits have been pretty consistant for a long time. Anyways, time to stop blaming it on everything else and just do something about it. I would like to loose at least 20 pounds by February, but will take 15
. Lets see what happens?????

Hey there
This is a good goal...and I think you will have a good chance for success if you break up your goal into little manageable bits. And put the focus upon healthy actions...instead of the weight loss. A lot of people lose weight....myself included...but gain it right back...myself included. I lost about thirty pounds more than several years ago...and it took about a year. I think a slow steady pace works well in the long term. And yeah...February sounds good...five months....about three pounds each month...you can do this!
I need to lose about ten pounds...maybe we can cheer each other on.
