I had carpal tunnel surgery last week. Just on the right hand, so I'm getting through life one handed... and it's my best hand Undecided

This compression bandage is off now, and I'll get the stitches out next week... It looks pretty nasty right now. The doc gave me darvocet for the pain-but I don't like the way it makes me feel so I've been avoiding it.

I've been kind of in a dreamlike state between the surgery and pain, and painkillers. It's not a good feeling, but at least I'm still on the hill up from the bad depression.

HI WENDY, I HOPE YOU ARE NOT IN TOO MUCH PAIN NOW...MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER HAD THE SAME THING DONE ABOUT 9 YRS. AGO. I STAYED WITH HER FOR A FEW WEEKS BECAUSE HER GIRLS WERE STILL IN DIAPERS AND SHE HAD NO OTHER HELP.  SHE HAS BEEN A WIDOW FOR 10 YRS. HER HUSBAND WAS ONLY 28, WHEN HE HAD A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK. ITS A SAD STORY..I DONT KNOW HOW SHE HAS GONE ON AND LIVED HER LIFE. SHE IS A STRONG WOMAN AND I ADMIRE HER VERY MUCH. WE LIVE IN HER BACKYARD...KIND OF...AND MY MIDDLE DAUGHTER LIVES DOWN THE DRIVE-WAY. WE ARE IN A RURAL AREA. WELL WENDY, I THINK I LOSE TRACK OF WHAT I,M SAYING AND I GO TO A COMPLETLY DIFFERANT SUBJECT. SORRY BOUT THAT. I HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON AND TAKE THE PAIN PILLS IF YOU NEED TO. I,LL TALK TO YOU LATER...GOD BLESS....JENNIFER

I can't imagine trying to take care of small children after having this surgery. I felt pretty useless for a few days :) ... and I can't imagine losing a husband at such a young age.. it takes a lot to carry on and carry on well facing such struggles.

I appreciate you "stopping by" my posts :)
