Hi teri,
I was very interested to read your article on LSD, unfortunately it did get a bad press inthe 1060s coz it was used by The Beatles hence the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, LSD etc., seemingly just when you were near knowing the answers the drug would have worn off. I had a boyfriend, geologist who had used it inthe States. it has a weird effect in that, sometimes even 10years after use, hed get sort of psychedelic flash backs when driving and feel 'out of it'
I know its very like the Abreaction used for bringing Sexual abuse victims back to the time of abuse and can awaken bad memories that have been repressed in the subconscious. This Abreaction is a first cousing to LSD and was used by a rather 'far out' professor here in a safe place where people who had been sexually abused could re live the trauma in a safe environment, lying on the floor with pillows and trained staff etc. Im not suprised that LSD could be used again... It was amazingly good for bringing out the Creative side of people but unfortunately if there was anything deeply repressed, that could come out too with disastrous consequences.

I thought of taking recreational drugs either to forget or for suicidal ideation
I don't have a way out of those terrible nightmares
I don't sleep well
I toss and turn all night
