My bossed snubbed me at the company Christmas party. As I left and started to thank him for hosting the party, he turned his head and ignored me. I have been crying about this all week, as the party was last Friday. He was acting weird when I worked with him yesterday. I am closer to the other boss (there are two), I am thinking of bringing this up with him. What do you think? I was nice to the snubber boss yesterday when I worked with him, but I just feel like someone who is not dealing with something that is really bothering them.

Hi, Kaliroar. I'm wondering if your boss really was snubbing you, or just got side-tracked by something, or was maybe preoccupied with some personal concern. For now, you might be better off just to wait and see if his odd behavior toward you continues and if it's only toward you. And, some people are just jerks in one setting and not in others. It could be any number of things. If it still bothers you, say, a month from now and he's still acting weird, maybe you should just ask him about it directly, rather than talking to your other boss.
I have worked for people in the past who did things like that, usually because I didn't have a Ph.D. and they did (yes, that made them better, apparently) or sometimes for no apparent reason and I did feel badly. One time, I actually asked my boss if he was angry with me about something (I knew he was) and he still denied it, so it didn't help anything. Just try to think of it, if you can, as saying more about him than you. People that we think we know can sometimes be disappointing or we might be mistaken about them.
Hope you feel better soon!
