Memopause and depression

By MJ56 Sunday, September 23, 2007

I would appreciate an article about memopause and depression.  I noticed depression in myself about the time when my  Estrogen level was dropping, about 10 years ago.  No, it was not because I was mourning my ability to reproduce.  that was never my issue.

Depression continues despite daily doses of WEllbutrin 300 mg po qam.  More like Dysthymia.  I am less depressed than if I was not using Wellbutrin, however, hot happy either.  Many symptoms persist.

I too can directly relate my depression to the onset of menopause.  I started estrogen and progestrone but only a small change in my mood.  I can't function as a single mom and I feel very lonely and lost. Things are feelngs I am not use to having as I have always been very independent and confident.

Hi,

I saw your post and wanted to suggest that you go to fisherwallace.com. They created an electronic cranial stimulator device that I've been using for about 3 months now to treat my depression - it is amazing.

 Best,
