    Hello:

I'm a regular blogger for this site.

I'd love to learn more details from you.

For instance, it's not clear when you ended this relationship; or when you went into a "behavioral hospital;" or, in fact, what a behavioral hospital is or does.

I'd also like to know whether you have a therapist and what medications you've been taking and for how long.

I've had depression off and on for 50 years. It's controllable, but never quite goes away. Blows -- like a lost relationship -- certainly don't make it any better!

Still, I've led what I consider a good life; gotten by; enjoyed many aspects of my family and career.

    Tell me more.

hello chris,i am currently on lexapro, buspar and trazadone to aid my sleep- my relationship truly ended 2/19/07 after many years of a rollercoastrer ride with my ex-girlfriend.honestly, my relationship was done a long time ago. i spent 3 weeks in a hospital to help me with my issues. i have learned a lot and my faith keeps me going. it is up to me to apply myself, though i sometimes find it hard- it appears i was addicted to her like a drug or something-

I'm 34 and I have had depression since i was about 12, but techically diagnosed at age 20 after my 1st child was born.  I have been on numerous meds, and been to all kinds of counselors, but I have a lot in my past, and now my present that keeps me from getting any better. i have never been in the hospital for it, but I have definately felt i should have been, but the docs keeps telling me "I wont like it"  As if I like this as the alternative. I'm in a pretty difficult marriage, and feel very hopeless at times. I hope that you that you can find some one to help you through this, I'm here if you ever need a friend.

thanks for your comments kymber - i know exactly what you are going thru - are you a member? i ask so we can communicate advice or suggestions- as far as hospitals , depending they are not as bad as one thinks - i personally spent 3 weeks in one- do not regret it 1 bit - i found it helpful in my time of need - i have come to the conclusion that our health depends on us - in order for us to be better , it starts with us -
