Hello, I'm Mike; I had a wort on my thumb years ago. Never mind. Started taking zoloft in '94-'95.Long before MS DX 02-09. DR. thought they would
help. During anual phys. What do they do? He said they keep those deep dark thouths(sp) from entering your mind. What deep dark thoughts(alright). He said with my BP & job they will come. OK. Only thing I can come up with is, the stronger the antidepress. med. the fewer doors or windows in my mind are being opened or closed to keep those deep dark thoughts from entering the room. I try self protection, I don't watch sad movies, most coutry music only when I have a beer to cry in(I don't drink) negative thinking, acting, talking, people that can bum me out. I don't have too so I don't. When I try to help a person and they don't want to help themselves, they are off my list. GRRRRRR! Stop & think about it.. GOD BLESS YOU & YOURS......Mike.........
Hi Merely Me and all,
I am taking St. Johns Wort...2 capsules...totals 1200 mg a day...how much is the normal range of dosage? I am not sure...I still have to ask my doctor about that...
but my tablets were designed by a doctor who treats depression and fibromyalgia.....they have total 600 mg of L-Tyrosine and 140 mg of 5-HTP too. So are they working and are they any better for my depression than antidepressants? I cannot say ......not sure why...none of all the antidepressants I have tried have ever worked really well that I could see just alone...don't really think meds alone can do that much for me..have to be combined with many things...have been trying to change my diet more too...more whole foods, fruits and veggies...
I have been taking these supplements for one and a half months now I think...my doctor gave me a test to send away for my neurotransmitter balance...I didn't know you could do this....I do know that cognitive behavioral group therapy has worked for me though..
so does exercise, working or volunteering and connection to others, and being around others...just seems comrehensive treatment works best...
