Depression Community Getting to Know You Exercise
I seem to have lost a day there. Tuesday came and went and I have nothing to show for it. My air conditioning was not working and it literally melted my brains. I wasn't able to do very much at all in the heat. Autumn can not come soon enough for me.
Wanted to catch up and do our question of the week today. I thought it would be fun to do a "getting to know you" exercise. I am in the mood for something lighthearted and fun. How about you?
Feel free to answer any of these at your discretion.
1. What is your favorite season?
2. What is your favorite game to play?
3. If your house were burning down (aside from pets and people) which three material possessions would you try to save?
4. What is the best gift you have ever received?
5. What is your favorite TV show?
6. What is the last song you heard?
7. If you were an animal which one would you be?
8. Are you a homebody or do you/would you like to travel?
I will go first!
My favorite season is definitely Autumn. My favorite game to play right now is called Angry Birds for the iPad. Scrabble is a close second. If my house were burning down...in addition to getting all my pets and family members safely out...I would be grabbing my laptop, my sentimental music boxes, and my son's stuffed penguins and teddy bears. The best gift I have ever received is...time. Time to be with people I care about.
My favorite TV show is...this is hard because I have three that I really love right now. I am going to say, "Glee." If you haven't seen it...it is one of the best shows on now...I love the music and it is so well written and quirky. It makes you feel good. Love the show Madmen and I also like Supernatural and In Treatment. You guys would love "In Treatment" because it shows a psychotherapist as he is in treatment.
The last song I heard was...my son's Kermit the Frog video about going to Kokomo. If I were an animal I would definitely be a cat and I am absolutely a homebody. Travel can be fun but I get homesick.
Now it is your turn! These types of questions can be good conversation starters in general. Most folk like to talk about themselves if they are asked first.
Happy Wednesday! Let me know how you are all doing. I love to hear from you.
