Reflecting on Life and Depression
It is that time again...time to reflect upon the week and think about where we have been and where we want to go from here.
Been doing some reflecting myself and I have come to the conclusion that I miss writing/writing. Yes I write here about depression and also about other health related topics and I love it. It serves a very important purpose and I am not going to cease doing this type of writing. In addition, though, I do want to spend some time going back to my more creative roots...and write stories from my life experiences. Perhaps I will share some of those writings here. Sometimes you can get a whole lot more from someone sharing their life experience than some bullet point "how to" presentation. That is my perspective anyway.
This week I have also learned that it is good to stay true to your values and be upfront about it. People who take an active role in life will always be scrutinized. I am tired of being someone who sits on the sidelines and watches life go by. I want to be an active participant. I want to have a voice. Why sit around complaining when you can actually do something? Or say something? Even if you don't get the desired outcome you are wishing for...at least you can be proud that you had the courage to stand your ground and say things which need to be said.
Regrets...are not usually about what you did do or say...they are about what you didn't do...and didn't say.
Now let's talk about your week.
1. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate this week?
2. What was the best part of this week?
3. What was the most challenging part of this week?
4. What life lessons did you learn this week?
As always, we are eager to hear from you. YOU are what makes this site great. Just think, something you say here can be just the thing to help someone get through their day. I know I have felt that way from reading your comments and posts. Please keep sharing and participating. You are making a difference, sometimes more than you can imagine.
