Defining Happiness With Depression

Merely Me Health Guide
  • Hello everyone!

How's it going?  Are you still eating turkey leftovers?  Did anyone do the whole Black Friday thing?

It is that time again... it is Tuesday...and that means it is time for a new question for discussion.

In a previous post called Exploring Happiness, member Taylor had a very interesting question she had wanted to ask all of us.

Taylor's question is:  How would you define happiness?

It is a good question for us all, as we make our strides towards mental wellness.  We talk a lot about the desire to be happy but what does that really mean?  I am personally eager to read how different people answer this simple but complex question.

Thank you Taylor for asking it!

    Some extra-curricular reading for you:

    • Has anyone ever taken Xanax for anxiety?  I have and I talk about my personal experience taking Xanax on our anxiety site.  If you have any thoughts to add or if you wish to share your experience taking this medication please do in the form of a comment to my post.

    • A new year is coming.  This is the perfect time to schedule a skin screening with a dermatologist to check for skin cancer.  I know you all are busy but this annual skin exam could save your life.  One in five of us will be diagnosed at some point in our lifetime with skin cancer and some of us will die from it.  Be preventive and get your skin checked. Do it for you...and for your loved ones.

    • Have you ever noticed that your mood and especially stress can affect your skin?  Well now there is much research to show that stress can worsen the symptoms of many chronic skin conditions.  Come and check out this research as well as ways to lower your stress over on the skin care site.

    • If you have a child with special needs, acceptance of your child's diagnosis can be a long hard journey.  Some say this journey towards acceptance is like going to Holland.  Some say it is more like going to Beirut.  For two very different takes on accepting your child's diagnosis please come visit our ADHD site.

T-t-that's all folks!  I hope you all are having a good week so far.  Let us hear from you.  We enjoy your company.
