Depression and Aging

Merely Me Health Guide
  • Hi everybody!

How are you?  I hope you all have survived the first part of this holiday season.  New Year's eve and New Year's day are soon approaching.  Depending upon your mindset the new year can bring forth anticipation of the good things to come or dread of what misfortune may yet occur.  It's that whole half glass full or half empty kinda thing.

I have been thinking about the passage of time especially since I just had my 46th birthday recently.  While I was in the bookstore today I caught a glance at a magazine cover....The Economist...where they say that we get happier as we get older and that the age of 46 is a great year.  Well how about that?  Check out the link as the article is there.  I am definitely going to write more about this hypothesis and also the research behind it in a future post.

So what do you think?  Do you feel happier as you get older?  What has been the best age for you so far?

And of course tell us all about your holiday and what you have been up to.  I hope to start this new year off with a bang...chock full of information and resources to get you back on track with your mood, your life goals, and connection to others who are facing similar challenges.

If you are currently suffering from depression I know from firsthand experience that you can't do this alone.  You need other people to lean on for support.  That is what we are all about.   So do not hesistate to reach out...write a share post...or ask a question.  We are here to serve.
