My Depression Connection Question of the Week

By Merely Me, Health Guide Tuesday, March 01, 2011

Hi everybody

As the weather is warming up and the sun is shining and there is more light I am wondering why I am feeling more depressed.  One of my friends talked about how her son's bipolar disorder seemed worse in the spring.  My son who has autism seems to also have difficulty adjusting to the change in temperature and daylight.

One of our members asked long ago is there is such a thing as spring depression.  This questions received a ton of comments...well over a hundred so I am thinking there may be something to this.

What do you think?  Do you think the change of seasons into spring can adversely affect your mood?  Have you ever experienced Spring depression?

Hope to hear from you.  I see you guys have been busy posting and sharing.  Thank you so much for creating a great community!
