Thanksgiving Question of the Week!

Merely Me Health Guide
  • Hi everyone

It is almost turkey time.  Are you ready?

In the spirit of this holiday I want to take the time to say thank you to all our Health Central members and especially those on MyDepressionConnection.  Without you this site would not exist.  We need you, your thoughts, your opinions, and your stories.  There are so many people out there who could use an encouraging word or just a simple hello.  Who better to reach out than someone who understands what depression is like.  On this site you don't have to hide your feelings or wear a fake smile.  If you are feeling depressed you can feel safe to talk about it here.  If you are feeling good...we want you to talk about that too.  We want to hear it all, the good, the bad, and everything in between.

If you think you have nothing of value to say or are wrong.  What you share here, even if it is a sentence or two, could help someone else who is going through the same thing.  In order to keep this community going we need member shareposts, comments, and interaction.  So please don't hesitate to share.  You are among friends here.

    Now let's talk turkey!

    1.  What is your favorite dish of your Thanksgiving feast?

    2.  Do any of you face challenges during Thanksgiving?  (Not getting along with certain relatives, grief anniversaries, or just feeling down this time of year?)

    3.  Do you have any special Thanksgiving rituals or customs?

    4.  What are you thankful for this year?

Bonus question:  Anyone have a good stuffing recipe?  I am willing to try something new this year.

To lift your spirits I want to share three videos:

The first is "lovely owl."  Awww!  Seriously...have you ever seen such a cute creature?

Here is Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving Song not to be confused with his Hanukkah song.

Lastly I offer a Thanksgiving classic...a scene from a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

    Where's the mashed potatoes???
