This is Your Year to Get Healthy in Mind, Body, and Spirit

Merely Me Health Guide
  • Happy New Year everyone!

When I woke up this morning it was 2012.  Amazing.  Another new year is here.  If there is one thing that is certain in life, it is that time will roll on.  And we must roll along with it.

You can be a leaf in the wind, at the mercy of life's challenges.  Or you can take control in the areas in your life where you are able.

This year let's make a pledge to get our life together.  Find a bit of happiness.  Stop depression in it's tracks and kick it to the curb.  We can do this.

It all starts with a thought in our head to want a change.  If you are sick of the way things are going right now then it is time.

What is in store for 2012?

    • Weekly mental wellness tips

    • The latest research on mood disorders.  We will discover what helps and what doesn't when it comes to depression.

    • We are going to bring back the Mid-Week Muse where you will have the chance to explore your creative side.

    • You will have the chance to give your thoughts and opinions with our weekly mental health discussion of the week.

    • We will continue to review the vast array of antidepressants and supplements to treat depression.

    • You will have the chance to discuss your life challenges with the community and be offered ways to cope.

    • In addition we will continue to offer weekly blogs from our writers including Jerry Kennard a chartered psychologist and Deborah Gray who is famous for her depression website, Wings of Madness.  I will also continue to write weekly posts with my fellow writers on topics relevant for helping you to achieve mental wellness.

    • At the end of each week we will be offering you a mood assessment to see how you are progressing with your wellness goals.

    • We will also be collaborating with our other mental health site leaders and writers to bring you the very best information from all of our Health Central mental health resources.

There will be many good surprises for you this year on Health Central's depression site.  We hope that you stay to fully participate in our community.  We cannot do this without you.  We need YOU!  We need your thoughts, your stories, and your experience so that we can help each other recover from depression.

Thank you for being a member of this site.  Let us know how we can best serve you in 2012 and beyond.

Happy New Year to all!  May you have the best year ever.
