One of the ways that we are able to survive our depression is to connect with others who travel a similar path. We find solace in being a part of something bigger than ourselves. There is both strength and emotional sustenance in being part of a community.
I feel uplift...
I think, it's a great idea and you couldn't have chosen better for the first award. Ms. Martin is very articulate and realistic. She encourages with more than just platitudes, much more; and tries to give hope. She relates her life and experiences, her own battles with depression and seems to have an abundance of common sense and empathy.
She makes others think, and feel better, if possible. I believe that is exactly what people come for. I think overall, there are many who try to do the same here.
I hope she stays around. Congratulation, Ms. Martin!
I hope she stays too and continues to contribute as she does. I was most personally touched by something she said in response one of my recent posts where I talked about my mom. I felt like..."she really gets it!"
I do hope Rose stops by to see all the lovely comments written about her.
