Depression & Pet Therapy: How Different Animals have Helped with their Love
The Midweek Muse: A little inspiration to get you over the hump!
The theme today is our PETS!
If you suffer from depression I am telling you that your mental health can improve with the addition of a furry four footed friend.
The creatures you see above are my own. Sometimes when I am very down I think that the only ones who love me are the cat and dog. Okay...not quite sure about the cat yet.
Anyways...I think it would be fun to talk about our pets here. Tell us all about your dog or cat or fish or iguana or whatever else you have. And if you have photos to share we would love to see them. Create a sharepost and then give a link in a comment here so we don't miss seeing them.
*Special note about posting images! I finally figured this out today how to do this without aggravation. When you create a sharepost there is a thingy at the end which says "HTML" which is for code. Join photobucket or Flickr or any other image hosting site...put your photos there and then get the code and when you hit the HTML button...copy the URL given on the photosharing site and voila! You can post images. I am hopeful that soon it will be easier to post images but for the time being this works!*
Also please feel free to caption my two pictures above!
In the meantime I offer you some of my favorite cat and dog quotes:
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face." ~ Ben Williams
The average dog is a nicer person than the average person." ~ Andrew A. Rooney
"Animals are such agreeable friends. They ask no questions, they pass no criticisms." ~ George Elliot
"Dogs have owners, cats have staff." ~ Unknown
"Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." ~ Unknown
"You can't help that. We're all mad here." - The Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland
"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer
"One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why." ~Author Unknown
Happiness is a warm puppy. ~Charles M. Schulz
Hug up your pets for me! I hope you all have a great day.
