I found this on facebook:

I used to have super powers, but my therapist took them away!

Hey, Patsy - that picture looks very similar to one of mine!  Yours is really not bad, you know.  Thanks for making me smile!

Thanks, Judy!  I put on my profile that the pic is from 1967.  Want to look more like that again.  Smile

I'm glad you smiled!!

Hey, no wonder it looked a lot like my picture - that's the year I graduated!  It wasn't even in color, LOL!

Mine is black and white too.  I graduated high school in 1965, so that makes me about a couple of years older than you.  Hardly any time at all these days!! LOL

Awww...you look great Patsy!

I love looking at high school yearbook photos.  I found my mother's highschool yearbook of all things from the 50's and I was able to find out new things about her like...she enjoyed target shooting.  LOL  And while most of the young women wrote about aspiring to be the perfect secretary or wife...my mother wrote about wanting to be a commercial artist.  It didn't happen unfortunately.  Schizophrenia derailed her dream.  But it was very special for me to see her as she was back then.

Lovely photo....you look warm and friendly and like someone who would make an excellent friend.

Thanks for sharing,

MM

MM,

Glad you were able to see your mother and how she was before her illness derailed her dreams.

I hope the joke wasn't offensive to you.  It was something someone posted on my therapist's facebook page, and I thought it was funny.  I do know that a therapist alone cannot take away someone's delusions.  If it seems inappropriate to you, please remove it or tell me how I can.

I used to dream of being Supergirl or a fairy queen (in the fairy story sense).  Shows how powerless I felt, I think.

Oh no Patsy

I am not offended at all...and I can use some levity right now.

Thank you as always for all that you contribute to this community.
