Today I desided to stop drinking!

By Sherry Saturday, January 05, 2008
On Dec. 13th I desided I'm going to eat healthier, loose weight, exercise more, and live a much healthier lifestyle.

But... this morning I woke up with a headache because last night I went to a party.

Today while recoving I desided I was going to stop drinking alcoholic beverages and I'm very serious, plus, really excited about it. I love watching the health channal on television and if you saw what alcohol does to your body more people would stop drinking.

I partied when I was young and started partying again after my divorce two years ago so it's not going to be all that difficult, but wish me luck anyways.

I can be your designated driver now :)

IM SO HAPPY!

Well done! I must admit that my alcohol intake increased after my divorce too. I am cutting back to a couple of glasses on Friday and Saturday nights and nothing during the week. I am trying to walk each day and look after myself. My goal this year is to, each day, do something healthy for my body, do something healthy for my mind and do something for someone else. Good luck with your resolution! Best wishes R

Thank Rusty,

I just wanted to say good luck to you too.  I thought about cutting back but I'm a light weight.  Sometime's just a couple glasses of wine will make me pretty drunk.  I think cutting it out all together is the best route for me.  I think I'm pretty lucky to be 41 years old and never been arrested. lol!  J/K But alcohol has caused other problems during my lifetime.

I feel pretty good about myself but I wish my boyfriend could too.  He has a weight issue and drinks quit a bit but at least he's trying.  I'm trying to help him through this but in the mean time I'm feeling a bit stressed because he's cranky.  I have a feeling tonight isn't going to go so well after talking to him on the phone.  Unsure

Ttys Rusty,

I don't know what happens to some men as they get older....maybe the cranky mood is a sign of their depression. I read something about testosterone levels causing this cranky mood. Anyway its not easy to live with. Remember its not you which causes it! Good luck.

Oh my! I'll have to do some research on that because that's something I don't know a whole lot about.  Hummm...
