At the bottom

I feel I am at the bottom. My depression goes untreated because the side effects of the various antidepressants I've tried are horrendous. I am also recently unemployed and my wife is disabled and can't work. For the first time in 15 years, I have become suicidal. Depression Medications

I am currently on 30 mg a day of Lexapro and 45 mg a day of Remeron.  I was on 20 mg a day of Lexapro only, which worked great at first but after a couple of years on this dose, it just wasn't cutting it anymore.  So my psychiatrist added 30 mg a day of Remeron, which helped me sleep, but I started waking up in the middle of the night,... Read moreChevron

Are there any SSRIs that don't kill your sex life?

All the SSRIs I've tried have caused anorgasmia. In the case of Prozac the effect lasted 5 years after I stopped taking the drug. They are good at cutting panic attacks though you continue to get the initial symptoms and that in itself is scary. Why do SSRIs do this if they are just restoring normal brain functioning?
