Why do people resist taking antidepressants?

Over the years, since I started my depression site, I've heard (read) many people say that they want to treat their depression "but without antidepressants." I always think, "Why?" Has been He?? lately

Lately nobdy seems to get my meds correct and alot of ups and downs lately. This is harder then being in limboland in the MS field! I go into a hospital and they get me all straighten out on meds and feelings and then go go to local center for therapy and cont. meds and they start placing me on new ones that make me sick of just don't work,... hi What do I say to my therapist ,that I need help? Wisdom is admitting that you don't know everything and asking for help. I get really nervous at the therapists . when I was there I got 30 mins It was better, I'm not sure what I said,but it seems like it still wasn't enough I'm not even sure what to do with this life Jon
