Depression has been linked to several eating disorders, although it is not always clear which is the cause of the other. Obesity and depression are thought to be linked, either obesity as a long-term result of depression, or depression as a result of negative body image from obesity. Anorexia and bulimia have also been connected to depression, often as causes of depression.
