Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is made harder on people by the fact that they have a military background. Service men and women often ignore their PTSD when it is really most important to recognize their feelings and seek treatment. The military is encouraging its men and women to acknowledge and get help for their PTSD and conveying the fact that a diagnosis will not harm their career.
