i am very depressed tryed lexapro now on cymbalta when will i feel better
The thing with meds. are you have to find the right one that works for you, then the right dose and then it takes time to build up in your system. So you just have to hang in there. I started feeling a little better after a couple weeks and then slowly thereafter. I had to increase my dose 3x. My psychiatrist wants me to be on the lowest dose possible so we increased it slowly. With each increase I would feel a little better. I am now at 40mg and he wants thats to be in system for a little bit longer to see if I get more benefit from it. I'm ok with that because right now my days are mainly manageable but not where I want to be. It can take anywhere from 4-6 wks to notice a difference. I started noticing a slight difference at 2-3 wks. How long have you been on the cymbalta? Just hang in there the best you can. You will find the right med. it just takes time and that is the hardest part. I know because I have been there and thought there is no way I can wait. But you do and it does get better. If you need someone to talk to feel free to send me a message.

I was just put on cymbalta today, i am very scared. My Dr. wants me to take Geodon at bed time and i read about this Med. and it just scares me to death, but i can't live like this anymore..... Crying, feeling very hot all over my body and i have a huge knot in my stomach, vomitting and hyperventilating, Please help me understand!!!!!!!
If the cymbalta works which it will hopefully it can take time depending on the person. Sometimes more than 2-3 weeks so if it does not work until then try to hang in there a little longer. It took around a month to two to feel the benefits fully. That does not mean that I did not feel any difference at all after two weeks but it can take a bit longer to feel its FULL effects. It has worked wonders for me for over a year, but if not there are many effective antidepressants out there so don't give up. Good Luck
