Q: my son is 25 he has a serious mental problem no job and no money he needs help we live in louisiana can anyone give him direction on where to get help?

my son needs mental help here in louisiana has no insurence and no job can someone please give him a answer on where he can find this kinda help

Hi Patty

I am going to give you the link to a post I wrote over a year ago about some resources for people wanting mental health services but who lack insurance or money. I cannot guarantee that any of the resources listed will help your son but it is worth a try. Sometimes you have to be especially persistent in seeking help.

I am so sorry your son is going through this and you too. It must be very hard to need help for him but not know where to get it.
