Im 30 and ready to be a mom. Been on celexa for 3 months, and this is the first month my period has been 8 days late. Took a pregnancy test and it is negative. Can celexa mess with a test??

Hi Sarah:
I am not an obstetrician, but I do know that antidepressants typically don't interfere with conception or the readings on pregnancy tests.
You should be aware that they can be connected with birth defects in the fetus. You may want to read about Celexa here. Please discuss this with your gynecologist and bring all of your concerns to him/her. However, do NOT stop taking your Celexa without consulting with your physician first.
Best of luck,
