Q: Should all Bipolars be taking a mood stabilizer?

I just finished reading a book about "soft" bipolars.   The book stated that all Bipolars, both I and IIs,  should be on a prescription for a mood stabilizer.  Do you agree ?

There is a Bipolar site here at Health Central where you may find more information.

They have a long article discussing treatment, recommendations and a lot of other information listed in the Table of Contents on the left, part of which deals with mood stabilizers. If that does not answer your question maybe they can be of more help.
