Q: Can you take Melatonin and zoloft

Want to try melatonin for sleep and some one said if zoloft has serontin already I shouldn't mix and they can cause seizures?

Hmmm....I have never heard of this side effect from taking these two.  Your best bet is to discuss this with your doctor or the pharmacist.  But I can tell you that my son takes both Prozac and melatonin and there are no such side effects for him.  Melatonin does not contain serotonin. 

 

I strongly recommend getting your doctor's advice for this.
