Q: I have stopped taking Remeron

I have been taking Remeron for 18 months and due to unforseen circumstances have had to stop taking Remeron immediately. I am aware that the dose should be reduced gradually. What are the dangers of stopping immediately like I have done? I stopped a week ago and have already had symptoms of extreem depression, light head feeling, dizziness, extreem stomach cramps, extreem tiredness and a general feeling of "not being here".
