Q: depression treatment

can i get help with depression and get medication without insurance and very low income?

Mica,

 

There are a number of avenues for you to investigate. Some communities have clinics set up to treat people and charge based on their ability to pay. If your income is low enough, you may also qualify for Medicaid through the state. Your doctor may be aware of these resources. You can also check with your county health department and the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

 

An excellent source of information about low- or no-cost medications is www.PPARx.org. Once you know what medications you need, you can go to that site, enter the names of the meds you need and your personal information. The site processes that information, tells youw what patient assistance programs are applicable to your situation, and will even help you fill out the paperwork.
