Hi lonelyj79,   You have every reason to feel the way you do and I think you are doing a good thing by sharing your feelings and reaching out for some understanding and support. The fact you are new to this site means a couple of tips might be useful to get started. So, not necessarily in order of importance:   There's lots to commend on this site - and this isn't a heartless plug. The first thing I would promote are my co-experts. Every person with the expert badge has personal and/or professional experience of depression. We each have a personal email address that can be found under our profile (the link is near the photo of the expert). You will probably find that you can connect with one or more experts simply by reading their material.   Then, we have the support groups and the forum both of which are a great way of meeting people, sharing thoughts & giving and receiving tips.   Then there is the knowledge base. The site is packed with useful features (the search engine will help you locate these) and there are some good videos. I hope these ideas help you to feel both welcome and comfortable with the site.   Best wishes   Jerry
