I've not used Effexor, so I've not had to detox from it. But here is a question which has many, many responses about this very issue. The topic of foods to avoid is not addressed, but recommended supplements are mentioned which might make the tapering experience go more smoothly.
And here is an article written by someone who tapered off Effexor and found a way to lessen the withdrawal symptoms by cutting way back on sugar, eating higher protein foods and lower carb foods, in addition to hot baths (which seems to be one of this person's favorite "therapies").
