I'm a type 2 diabetic. Is there any antidepressants that would be harmful to me due to the diabetus

I've been diagnosed with major depression for a long time and am now on Lexapro.  I've been wondering if Cymbalta (not sure of spelling) might be a better antideprssant for me.  Some where I heard that this new antidepressant is not a good "mix" for a person diagnosed with diabetus type 2.  Is this correct?  I'm not seeing much change in the depression for the last two years I have been on Lexapro.

I think that, given your somewhat complicated medical situation, you might want to see a psychopharmacologist, if you're not already. This is a doctor who is an expert on psychiatric medication, and often has more specialized knowledge than a psychiatrist.
