Hi Kotes

When you say "therapy" what have you tried?  Meaning...what type of therapy?  How many therapists have you seen?

Not all therapists or therapy is equal.  I have had some exceptional therapists and some very bad ones.  Many people like cognitive behavioral therapy but it was not for me.  It can take time to find the match for you in both the metholology used and the personality of the therapist.

Trust can be a very difficult thing in therapy.  Here is this stranger...and you are supposed to open up about deeply emotional topics.  When I first went into therapy in my 20's...it took many sessions before I could truly open up.  Therapy takes work and time.

I am not going to make other suggestions yet without hearing more of your story.  It is true that therapy isn't for everyone.

Let us know more about how the therapy did not work for you and we will go from there.

I am sorry you are going through this bad time.  Please do use this site for support.

Thank you for reaching out here.

Hello, Kotes.  I think you might be scared of looking at the truth, perhaps?  Or you aren't sure what you're going to find when you start looking at things?  Like Merely Me said, there are different types of therapy depending on what fits your needs and if you are dealing with PTSD, for example, therapy for that is quite different than it might be for dealing with relationship problems.  I think if you found the right person that maybe you could eventually trust enough to start being honest.  Honesty is essential, I think, to being able to heal.  Many of us here have gone through it.  I wish you all the best.
