Hi, there.  Here's what I found when I looked up Zoloft:

It is important to continue taking this medication as prescribed even if you feel well. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped. Also, you may experience symptoms such as mood swings, headache, tiredness, sleep changes, and brief feelings similar to electric shock. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased to reduce side effects. Report any new or worsening symptoms immediately.

It is NOT a good idea to stop taking medications without your doctor's knowledge.  Why did you decide to do this?  Please call your doctor and find out what is the best way to stop your meds, if that is what you want to do.  That's why he has a medical license and why he/she can prescribe drugs.  Good luck.

Thank you for answering my question on quitting zoloft/ u are right/ i ended up in the er last nite. the trobbing in my head eyes & heart were getting worse/ The Dr. said it most deffinetly was a withdraw symptom rom zoloft.  / He told me to go home & take a zoloft, then to continue in the morning/ feelin a bit better today. I quit because i was put on a higher dose 50mg. didn't like the stone face feeling  had. A  no emotion feeling. i called my Dr. he said to go to 1 & 1/2 OF THE 25.MG.  - still felt yucky. i got discusted, so, i quit them. I only missed 5 days, but , let me say, it was awful on the 4th 5th day. Won't do that again. i never knew a withdrawl on zoloft could be that bad/ i need to see my family Dr. soon, see what he wants me to do. i was fine on the 25mg. i just would like to keep on that. Thank's again for your reply. -R.
