Q: i have a son who i believe is depressed. he has horrible bouts of anger, feeling down

i also believe he does not like himself because he isn't working and can't contribute to his family.  he has a wonderful family with 2 children who are seeing way too much,  i am concerned his wife is going to leave him (i would) and then he is going to wake up one  day and wonder what the heck he did but it will be too late.  i know he needs an anti-depressant but i am having a heck of a time getting through to him.  help!

Why not enlist your daughter in law's help in making an appointment with a psychiatrist for him? I hate to recommend essentially ganging up on him, but things are unlikely to improve without intervention.
