Q: I am 25, female , looking for anti-anxiety/depression med that will not deplete sex drive.

I am currently taking Budeprion XL 300mg, i am not sure if my lack of sex drive is caused by my medication or breakthrough depression. It has definetely dropped from an 8 to a 2 on a scale of 1-10. I am looking for recommendations of different drug options and dosages.

Wellbutrin (bupropian) is the highest recommended antidepressant due to low incidents of sexual side effects. If your medication is helping to alleviate your depression symptoms then in my opinion I would look at it from a different angle completely.

There are many OTC medications that target sexual issues.

Whether or not an antidepressant has a sexual side effect is different with each person. The most important thing is that you find an antidepressant that helps you fight depression. Then when you have found that. If there is a lack of sex drive then look for things that help in that area. I have recently begun taking Maca. Maca is an OTC (peruvian root) that is supposed to increase sexual pleasure. I cannot say whether it will work for you. But in my opinion, its better to try these thing rather than get yourself messed up switching antidepressants.

Look into it. Maybe you can share your experiences here.

Hope this helps you out.
