Q: is weight gain a side effect of serzone? Serzone, Celexa, prestiq which is the best for depression

Does Serzone cause weight gain? Celexa cause weight gain? Prestiq cause weight gain? Does any of them casue a decrease in sex drive?

Hi,

My doctor put me on 50mg of prestiq. It kind of upsets my stomache and I feel a little spacy. Is this normal until I get ust to them? She was going to put me on Celexa, but at the last minute changed it to Prestiq. How long should I use these & is Celexa better? Should I have had her put me on Celexa?

I just answered another question about Prestiq and stomach pain. You can find my answer here.

I don't know what to tell you...it seems the stomach pain side effect is pretty common. I am not sure what you can live with. If it doesn't go away you may have to reconsider which medication to try.

I would ask your doctor if the stomach pain goes away over time.
