No, it's not a hormone. Prozac, or fluoxetine, is an antidepressant in the Selective Serontonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) family.

prozac is a ssri antidepressant, not a hormone. Works on the serotonin levels in the brain that cause depression if out of sync.
