Hi there

Please know that I am not a doctor or a medical professional.

Prozac is sometimes known for losing its effectiveness over time. This is what happened with my son. Worked great for 18 months and then it was not so effective. But sometimes an increase in dosage can help.

I am wondering why your doctor took you off Wellbutrin. Was it no longer effective?

Is your doctor recommending that you take both antidepressants together?

One danger of taking more than one antidepressant at the same time is what is known as serotonin syndrome.

There are some psych forums where members say that this combination works for them.

I don't think anyone can tell you for certain how well this combo will work for you. If you have concerns you really need to ask your doctor or even your pharmacist.

Thank you for your question.
