Hi Tabbi, I was on prestiq about 3 months ago and I stopped taking it.  I wasn't sure if that is what was causing me to gain weight or not.  I believe it was because of a nodel on my thyroid.  Since having it removed I have started loosing weight.  I am going back on the prestiq because I am not sleeping and starting to feel depress.  Please keep in mind that you need to talk to your doctor and let them know how you are feeling.  Especially if you are feeling that you wish you did not have to be here.  Maybe the prestiq is not for you.  There are other medication for depression out there that may work.  The one thing about medicine is that it works differently on everybody.  One person may gain weight and the other one may loose.  This is why it is very important to talk with your doctor about any concerns that you may have regarding the medicine that they are prescribing for you and make sure that you talk to the pharmacist because they know more about the medicine than the Doctor's does.  I wish you the best and pray that you find the right medicine that will help you.  It can be over whelming when a person looses a job and you have to reenter the employment field and are suffer with depression.  Barbara
