I am the Husband who truly believes Wife suffers from Depression, had EA, and now filed divorce. Is there any support groups, somebody in the same boat, or any information would be much appreciated?
Hi there
What do you mean by "EA"? And are you telling us that you have filed for divorce or that she did?
There are quite a few on-line support groups out there. Here is our web page which tells you about some of them. There may be some local support groups for you but you would have to contact your local mental health agency.
If there is anything else we can do...just let us know.

Sorry if I wasn't thorough, but EA means Emotional Affair, and yes she has filed for divorce, and unwilling to talk out our differences, she just shuts down. I believe her depression is eating up her alive, and when I say that, she has multiple symtoms, such as very emotional, excessive crying, loosing her voice when stressed out, devloped asthmatic symtoms due to stress (needs inhaler), anxiety attacks, body bruising and aches, lack of energy, numerous tension headaches, and the list goes on and on. I realize I cannot fix the marraige, until she can sort out her depression. I have talked to her, and advised her of the mental and physical symptoms, but she couldn't really correlate there was an issue with her. She just thought each symptom was just an issue and go to the Dr. to patch her up. I advised her these physical and mental symtoms are just symtoms of a bigger problem. I didn't want to mention Depression, as it is a sticky subject, and I mentioned to her to see a Therapist, and she was up to seeing one. She allowed me to schedule an appointment, which I have done, and will be on 7/1/09. I take my Marriage vows seriously, and just cannot walk away from it. We have been together since the teenages years, and now we are both 31 and we both produced an offspring our ours. I am know my direction of what I need to do, just looking for some support so I can tackle this difficult issues, her depression and divorce.
