Suzanne...how are you feeling so far?  From all that I have read and heard about from the members of this site, the process of weaning from Effexor can be quite difficult.  What does your doctor say about this?  Is this something you would be doing if you had insurance to cover your meds?

Please do look at the links Judy sent you.  I am hoping you can find a better option.

Let us know how things go.  There are many members here who have gone through this weaning process.  I hope they chime in to lend you some support.

Thanks for reaching out here.

Hi, Suzanne.  First, I'm giving you a link to information about Effexor withdrawal.  I've been told that to come off it, it should be done by decreasing it by 1/4 at a time, not by half.

The other link I'm giving you is about how to get help with drugs and medical care when you have no insurance and no money.  I hope you will also talk with your doctor about not being able to afford your medication because he/she might have some suggestions for that, as well.  I hope you'll check out these resources because, as you know, stopping your medication can cause some problems.

Thanks for coming to this site and I hope the information I've linked you to is helpful.  Please check them out and please be careful!  Take care.
