Hello
You are a good son to be concerned about your mom. I am sure she appreciates you very much.
Wanted to add to what Judy has said that...if you want more information on any of these medications you can enter the names in the search function we have and read more about them. I think if you have major concerns that you could ask to speak to her doctor to ask more questions.
Let us know how things go and how you are holding up through this.
Hi, there. I'm sure the doctor prescribed whatever he/she thought was the best combination of medication for your mom. She might be quite sleepy, at least for a while, as two of those drugs, at least, have a sedating effect. Was your mother in the hospital, or has she had depression for a long time? Everyone's different in how they react to treatment and the Lexapro may not "kick in" right away if she just started taking it. As long as she keeps in touch with her doctor and tells him/her if anything isn't right, she should be okay. The best thing you can do is let her know you are there for her. Good luck, I hope she's feeling better soon.
