My wife found a Verilux for under $100.00 dollars.

Do some research before buying a light box. Current recommendations are different than just a few years ago, based on more recent research. Some are worthless. Some may be very helpful for SAD.
Research (on the Internet) the light intensity/luminance, wavelength of light emitted by the box, size of the box, features, whether LED or flourescent, cost, etc. Also ask a psychiatrist that knows what he is talking about. Some don't. Or ask someone who has one. Search for the best price.
Amazon.com is a good place to look.
