Q: I would like some info on lexapro vs. buspar. I'm mainly interested because of the cost savings with buspar. I currently take 10 mg. Lexapro/day at a cost of $50/month!
Hi, Ann. These drugs do two different things. Yes, they can both treat anxiety, but one is an SSRI and the other is not. Here is some information I found on the two. Perhaps you can talk with your doctor about this and can switch to something that's generic, which would be cheaper. Good luck!
