Hello James

This is a good question.  Unfortunately I don't think there is any one answer.  From a personal standpoint the person is usually in so much psychological anguish and pain that they just want to end that pain any way that they can.  Depression, undiagnosed mental disorders, and addiction problems are associated with being more at risk for suicide.  Any one of these issues can cloud thinking and cause one to feel trapped and hopeless.  I wish we did have more of an answer so that we could prevent tragedy before it happens.

Cool It is a question of quality of life.  If one changes from enjoying life to a situation of constant pain, wherther physical or mental, the sufferer may get around to thinking about the future.  "Is my life going to be like this forever?" Thoughts of suicide usually follow.  Unfortunately many people do not have all of the facts, and assume there is no relief, when thedre really is.  RAR1951

I dont think any one answer can tell anyone what causes Suicide. So much is revolved around what people think and may observe or live through but to give one simple answer would be just impossible. I have and still do live with depression, suicidal thoughts (attempted before a few times) and physical limitations because of stress and trauma. I want to believe that someone will always be there and available for anyone regarding any form of suicide but in our society I don't believe that someone will always be around to help. It is up to us who think or attempt suicide to ask for help if at all possible. I am not here to judge nor preach nor pretend that I know it all when in reality I am just trying to survive like anyone else and am in search of answers myself. I don't think any one cause can be linked to suicide. If you just sit around outside and observe people or go to a school/college and observe people it is impossible to pick any one person out who is depressed or suicidal. We as human I think can hide things about ourselfs pretty well. The causes of suicide I think will always be a guestion on many peoples minds. And, just may never really be answered right nor wrong. We are just humans living one day at a time and learning as we go and will always "try" to answer these tough guestion. I also think that I am never alone and neither are you or the next person or then next person after that. Suicide is a scary and lonely part of our world and maybe someday someone will actually get this guestion and answer right but until then I have to say your guess is as good as mine or anyone elses.  Ask for help and you shall recieve. Believe in yourself and you will survive. Each day is a new day for me, you, him, her, them, she, he, boy, girl, man, woman, child and so on and so on. I would love to answer this guestion with truth and facts but I can't so I am at least just speaking about what my opinion is and want everyone to know that I care.  I myself am just that myself. Nothing more Nothing less.              Take Care Deanna (WI)
