I only get my period under 8 hours could this cause gain

I only get my period under 8 hours. I think this may be a big part of why I am gaining the weight; I may be retaining too much water I believe. I am on a long list of medication: Too many I think 1. Imitrex 100mg for chronic Migraines 2. Amitriptyline 75mg for chronic Migraines 3....
